Somebody Stole Your Sound You were a happy little baby everyone said You had the smarts of your mother and the looks of your Dad You grew up in the good years, had such good intentions I thought you’d make it in comedy live a life of mention These days you move around from town to town Don't say much ‘Cause somebody stole your sound He sold you up the river for a couple of muskets He guaranteed your real life then he dropped it You wrote a truthful admission publicising your fate I thought you’d make it through, but it was far too late These days you move around from town to town Don't say much ‘ ‘Cause somebody stole your sound Somebody stole your sound Somebody stole it *3

about

Two improvising musicians lose their former saxophone playing buddy overseas, so they decide to form a duo with a computer. Somehow, one of them meets a guy who has designed a midi-programmable Tesla Coil and next minute they are writing a show for it. They play the show in Wellington NZ and record it.

The music here has a distinct experimental and creative base, but all the songs are structured, electronic entities and all the tracks are tied together by the unusual sound of the Tesla Coil. Sometimes it's very melodic, sometimes it's free, sometimes there are even words, but at its heart the music is improvisational.
